Groundwork is about understanding the absolute fundamentals of human movement that while might sound basic, are absolutely critical in aging well and performing well.

We have identified 5 movement habits that all people need regardless of age, experience, or injury in order to move freely, restore function, feel good and perform.

When these 5 movement qualities come together we get full body coordinative harmony. Meaning we use all our joints appropriately. You see most chronic lifestyle injuries we see, think of all the sore backs out there, dicky knees, plantar fasciitis etc… they come from the way you move day to day. They come from you. And that means to make changes to them, it has to come from you. Not from another gym class, or an extra run, or diligently doing rehab exercises. It comes how you perceive yourself, how you move through your day and how you begin to rewire neural pathways to better coordination.

Our Program first of all is not a ‘program’. It is a journey you undertake to develop a relationship with your body that will serve you today, tomorrow and into the future. It is not full of sets, and reps, and structure. We guide you, provide detailed and personalised feedback, and walk alongside you to embody this education and philosophy.

Why? Because you only get one body. And this body is your vehicle to enjoying a full rich life. We think its important to be proactive and tend to it with care so that it can continue to serve you for many years to come. Whether that be adventurous holidays, independent living, being actively involved with your grandkids, playing sports, gardening or performing at a high level. We need to take care NOW If we want to be able to do the important things in life.
